The classic American-style rimfire rifle, this gorgeous 457 has a 24.8â barrel with no sights and is meant to be topped with a scope. Its Turkish walnut stock has a high, flat comb and a classic checkering pattern. Like all of our 457s, it has an 11mm dovetail milled into the top of its receiver for attaching scope ringmounts.
The 457 barreled action is housed in a green anodized aluminum chassis of CZâs design. The orange pistol grip fitting is a CZ competition- gun design cue. CZ 457 .22WMR I purchased a 457 American in March mounted a Weaver 6-24 and zeroed with CCI at 50 yds first 5 shot group was 1/2 ragged hole with no flyers then shot a second group with same result was extremely pleased.I have 452 and 455 in 17HMR and it will easily shoot at the same level,I think the 24 in barrel helps this type of accuracy is what keeps me coming back to CZ.
- CZ is a gun I will own yet. The Varmint models seem to get awesome reviews and some claim itâs more accurate than the MTR versions with the match chambers. Many people who own them replace the trigger and barrels. Youâll see many reports of being a great gun but not necessarily âmatch readyâ CZ and Tikka have similar shorter bolt throw.
