I have a 2016 Stepway and I think the Start/stop isn't perfect, it won't always stop but sometimes for reasons like coasting or even the fact that you have to take it out of gear and let go of the clutch for it to actually stop. Also I've noticed that it won't stop if you haven't driven for a longer period, so like start/stop traffic. The auto elec garage have told me it’s cos the immobiliser goes through the airbag module and the module is faulty hence the airbag and seatbelt light. They’re investigating what’s actually caused the module fault now. The Check Stop Start light and Check Anti-Pollution light were on. Long story short, the mechanic said that the coolant temperature sensor was faulty and the car thought it was overheating. They changed the sensor (£60) and the car has been running fine for 2 weeks now. Reply Quote.
